Welcome
Hello and welcome to Yarns & Threads site. We are a specialty yarn shop located in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Originally, we developed this site for our fiber friends who had to drive more than 100 miles to visit us in our rural area. Since then many of you have enjoyed shopping with us here. We thank you and hope that you continue to enjoy using our site.

Yarn and Needle Selection
Yarns and Threads has many lovely yarns. We feature Shepherd's Wool- a fine merino wool worsted made in Michigan, many beautiful hand painted yarns. Bryson, Addi Turbo, and Darn Pretty needles. We also support NGO programs that enable artists to share their creations across the borders . These include buttons, hand spun lace and camels wool yarns. You will find several local artists creations also. Since it is not possible to feature everything here, we encourage you to contact us for your needs. Shipping
We ship daily by First Class mail for packages under 13 ounces and then by Priority Mail, which usually takes 2 to 3 days to arrive. We charge actual shipping by weight of the product- no handling charges. If your would like a different method of shipping please let us know.

Returns
Of course, we accept returns. If you find that you have extra yarn or need to change your yarn, please notify us. We request that you return merchandise within 30 days from purchase. We accept new merchandise in original packaging. Since we are happy to accept returns, we do encourage you to buy that extra skein for your projects to assure that you will have the same dye lot.

To Visit Us
Our hours are Wednesday thru Friday from 1 to 5pm and any other hours by appointment-please call us if you are coming to our area any other time. We would enjoy meeting you evenings and other weekend hours. We only live 4 blocks away and are happy to walk over.

We are located in the Village of Lake Linden in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. We are fortunate to be surrounded by the waters of Lake Superior. The shop is downtown across from the Village Hall on Calumet Street, which is M-26. The Keweenaw was a former copper mining area from the 1840's to the 1960's. The underground mining has long gone and the area has regained its pristine natural beauty.
