Snow Contest

When you live in the snow belt, you need to have a litle joy in your life.  Our joy will be a Snow contest on line and in our shop.  We are giving away great prizes (and will mail them to you).  Just guess how much snow we will have had by April 1st.  You have until March 15 to guess.  Please only one guess per customer.  E-mail us your guess.   We will use the Daily Mining Gazetter as the judge of snow inches.  They post the snow fall per county and we are in Houghton County.  To give you a hint - our average snow fall is 250 inches - which is measured till June.

To offer a level playing field- as of Wednesday the 28th of January, we had 186 inches of snow.  This is measured at the Houghton County Airport by weather officials there.  We are using the accumulated snow fall beginning in Fall.  Rain does not count- which we have had twice this winter.  The snow fall is different by town and village-many with more snow fall, but we are using the count from the airport since it is official.  Good Luck, Nancy
