Camel Hair Yarn is a bouncy, soft, worsted weight yarn that is hand spun in Mongolia for the Snow Leopard Trust. The camel fibers are hand carded and spun by women in the South Gobi  region. The Trust is a community based arrangement where the communities agree to protect the leopard's environment and the Trust agrees to purchase their hand spun yarn.The spinners are paid a fair wage in cash which enables them to become participants in decision making of their community.

100% Camel Wool hand carded and hand spun
5 to 6 ounces per skein
150 to 200 yards per skein
Shades of Brown;  medium and dark (light is sold out for this year)
Scarf in photo is knitted with medium camel hair
